and just when, it hit us, somebody turned around and shouted...

Play that funky music rIght...
Play that funky music Deck Band..
Lay down and boogie and play that funky music all nIght.."
Above, the band shows why they are one of the funest acts in South Jersey by always
welcoming folks to come up and ham it up with us.  Below left, JR's wife Karol seems
pleased with JR's stage presence, while
DeckHead Superfan Justiney works the crowd and
the tambourine.  She would later state "I like to get the crowd going, then stand back and
watch my handywork at work."  Amen sista, amen...
Tommy shows just
how dreadful it is
to be the front man
in a South Jersey
cover band.
We certainly all
appreciate his
sacrifices!
Many thanks to everyone who joined us at Ott's Tavern on the first Friday in November.
Once again, lots of new faces seemed to be enjoying an evening of R&R with TC, JR, Kev,
and Whitey.  Four sets rolled out, several new tunes incorporated, and the bartenders
seemed to have a good night.
Above, "A Brown Eyed Girl", a Dude, and a Happy Couple...
Below, some Psychos and a table full of good looking Ott's on the Green Patrons...

One.
On a more somber note, the band dedicated U2's One to a fallen comrade to begin the
final set of the evening.  Our friend Vinnie had passed away just five days earlier,
and we felt this song was appropriate in his memory.

"One love
One blood
One life
You got to do what you should
One life
With each other
Sisters
Brothers
One life
But we're not the same
We get to
Carry each other
Carry each other

One...life"
