Look for The Deck Band at Whitey
Pool-oooza July 7th, and Ott's Tavern on the
Green July 15th (Sunday afternoon on the
deck).
Tough crowd, or so it
seemed from the looks of
the parking lot.  But the
band was up for the task
with a power packed
setlist on this very summer
like night in June, down in
the Pines of Williamstown,
NJ.
Liftoff started with Vertigo, and we never looked backed heading through our scheduled
four sets.  Vertigo was followed by a little Saturday nights alright for "Foo Fighters" with
"Learn to Fly."  And the rockn' continued into a tribute to Fathers on Greenday's
Holiday.
Faces in the crowd.. Of course it's Whitey making one of his many faces posing with his
lovely, Deneen.  She can make any of his faces look good.  Thanks Nana for coming down
to baby-sit.  While we are on faces, many to thank, Chip, Karen, Kim, John and Heather,
Dave, and Jeff to name a few.  Chip pondering the marquee wondering if he should apply
for the job or should have come Tuesday for the NY Strip Dinner.  Oh well there's always
next Tuesday.
Cruising into set 3, we got word that Monroe Township's finest showed
up to tell Joe the owner we were too loud.  Figuring that was just a first
warning, TC flipped on his Top Hat followed by the John's wailing
cords, Whitey's pounding drums, and Kev's signature bass plucks into
the roaring version of the Stones "Brown Sugar."  By the end of this set
the second warning came and we had to make a slight change for our
final set - and so we turned it down - a little.
On set 4 we could not be denied a
debut of our new cover of Toad the
Wet Sprocket's "Fall Down."  An so
we snuck one more in...., however we
did turn it down a bit after that one
with some acoustic tunes ending with
goose bump, arm hair raising cover
of U2's, One.  Thanks to the
Fredericks, a couple new fans for
singing and swaying to the end.
