Ken Encore: Runnin' Down a Dream
The Deck Band was back in action in late April, courtesy of Joe Trio and his great staff in
Williamstown.  While the Deck Band sports all members in their 40's, the group has only
been together a short time by most standards, and this is the first and only band for the
foursome.  More on that in a bit, but above we'd be remissed without pointing out our
bookend dancers, and above center the Band with Ken (barely in shot lower left), Joe Trio
front and center, and Gil on the right (with the sweet mustache)...

Kenny Denenny
Don't be mistaken by Kev and the
microphone.  He merits no vocal credits
whatsoever.
... So as we were saying above, we are new at this still.  On Saturday night, we continued to
realize there are lessons to be learned.  With both of our sound guys cancelling within 48
hours of the gig (the 2nd 2 hours prior), the band went self-reliant with our sound system
once again.  We hope we fooled most of you, but in reality the entire night was a grind
behind the scenes, as each member  struggled with putting out good levels for the crowd,
while desperately trying to hear each other.  As
The Who once said, "We won't be fooled
again".  Wishful thinking at least!
