An interesting practice on Tuesday night the 22nd. For the first time in years, the band had no setlist for the night. With Ott's #2 just two weeks away, JR volunteered to put together that evening's play list, but hadn't finished it by practice time. The band worked off the Trio's list from top to bottom, going over songs we knew we'd see again. Not that its official, but readers of the Deck Band blog are privied to know that the June 2nd show in Washington Township looks to kick off with Take It Easy.
During our break, JR was able to get caught up on the fallout comments from the Little Spot. TC, Kev, and Whitey had all discussed various elements from the previous Friday night's gig throughout the weekend while getting mail, borrowing stuff, or just standing in the road chatting. More of the same on TC's back patio Tuesday night, and we also kicked around some of our songs for the next vote (see Setlist Page for who won).
The second half of the evening was a shortened session, with JR not feeling 100% on the night, and Kev abnormally quite all evening while wearing his trademark $1.00 bug sunglasses.
Next practice will be our last before Ott's, and it will be a night long on tunes and short on smokes.
PS- If the Ott's setlist doesn't arrive first thing Thursday moring, we are going to tell everyone about JR's gay "Edna Bag" we found in his truck.
Opps...
