The band hadn't been to Joe Trio's Tavern in a couple of months, and were glad to get back
out to our hometown pub.   For those who have never been to Trio's, they have a pretty
spacious outside bar which is quite popular.  Our job was to make the inside just as popular.
From the look of the photos below, we think we succeeded on that front...

Setlist for the night:
Vertigo, Learning to Fly, Long Way Down, Gimme Shelter, Banditos,
Message in a Bottle, Two Tickets to Paradise, Running Down A Dream, American Pie, Hate
to Say I Told You So, Breakup Song, Steady As She Goes, White Wedding, Jenny, Brown
Eyed Girl, No Surrender, Just What I Needed, Kryptonite, The Reason

Says You Can’t Go Home, When I Saw Her Standing There, Rockin’ in the Free
World, Houses of the Holy, End of the World, Heart of Gold, Peaceful Easy Feeling, One,
Bobby MacGhee.
Tom Carey
TC was at his best with the cordless on this Saturday night.  He worked the room like a
seasoned veteran, snuggeling up with Maureen and Kayla upper left, with Yvonne and
Patty above.  How about that
Patty Baron (upper right)?  She left the house with a
smooth rendition of Bobby MacGhee that had those inside raising the roof!
John Russell
The 'reverand of reverb' had a solid night.
One of JR's gifts is his ability to try anything
asked of him, and is completely comfortable
bending any song into a new direction-
seemlessly.  Lately he has been playing
harmonica, guitar, and singing on Deck
Band nights.  Neil Young's
Heart of Gold
gets the full catalog of JR's abilities.

Of course, all this work occassionally
causes his pinky to fly out of the socket.  All
the better for nailing those tough B-Minors.
Kevin Murphy
What's that you say, you want to hear
some "Little Miss Can't Be Wrong"?
Murph is your man!  His powering low end
has been well complimented with a lighter
side of play as of late.  Makes for a nice
'ying-yang' feel to songs. For those that
don't know, sister Karen is the official
Deck photographer.  That is Murph's
sister-in-law downing tequilia with TC.

On this night, the tequilia stayed down
and didn't prematurely exit via the nostrils.
Chris White
Whitey is that silly looking fellow in the rear of the band making a racket.  Lately his has
grown quite fond of singing with his eyes closed, a technique he picked up from David
Archuletta from American Idol.  On this night he debuted Hoobastank's "The Reason".  From
the look on Chipper's face, it probabaly made others want to close their ears.  He'll keep
working.  From the look of this handsome couple, maybe the song helped generate some
sweet love later on...
Good-bye
